Biography
Francisco-Ronay López-Estrada earned his Ph.D. degree in Automatic Control from the University of Lorraine, France, in 2014. Since 2008, he has been a full professor at the National Technological Institute of Mexico / IT Tuxtla Gutiérrez. He is the founder and head of the TURIX-Dynamics Research Group.
His research interests focus on the development of observers for state estimation and fault diagnosis in dynamic systems, robust control, and the application of these theories to Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), hydraulic networks, and renewable energy systems.
Dr. Ronay is also active in the professional community. In 2019, he was elected to the board of the Mexican Association of Automatic Control (AMCA), and in 2022, he chaired the National Congress of Automatic Control (CNCA).
